Who are we?
We are the International Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex for Latin America and the Caribbean.
ILGA LAC is a non-governmental association of community-based, centered on the fight against discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity as a global issue, being a regional network of groups, the collective, groups and organizations of Latin America and the Caribbean, dedicated to achieving equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex (LGBTI).

The member countries of the jurisdiction of the region are: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guyana, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Saint Barthélemy, Saint-Martin, Uruguay and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

It is a region where human rights are being respected and where todes they can live in equality and freedom; a world where justice and equity are secured and established regardless of the sexual orientations, gender identities, the gender expression and sex characteristics of the people.
It is working to achieve the equality, freedom and justice for the people of sexual diversity through the promotion of rights, advocacy and capacity organizations LGBTI+, the relevant international and regional institutions, as well as the governments, the media and civil society through the promotion, the incidence, the strategic litigation and training.
